It would be even easier to just hit Ctrl C on the site and shut it down. But removing things because it's easier doesn't make it a good idea.

Hiding all the programs they bot is giving them even more power than they already had. I don't think it's a good solution to the problem, even if it's only temporary. They've already taken advantage of it to hide some of the low-quality programs from the votes list like "A Game" and "Why NOT To Be A Fly" (which were both previously on page 2), then today they botted votes on "Cat Got Your Tongue".

I think the best way to protect against future alts is to add a captcha when signing up, and to require an email from a trusted domain (gmail, hotmail, ... etc) and to require a verified email to be able to comment or vote up a program.

I hope whoever made these alts gets caught. Thanks.

Wouldn't it be easier to take away the voting option all together?
