Content Update: New AP Chemistry videos and exercises, plus new in-progress science courses!

I have recently seen the new beta courses and I would like to say that they are very helpful when being introduced better into the original course, that is - for those who are beginners and are not as familiar with those types of subjects. I myself have done all of those courses and have a good understanding of it but I know based upon the experience that if I would have first done the beta version of those courses then it would have been less struggle to fully grasp the understanding of what I was being taught. I 100% agree that these will help many Khan Academy users to be a little more successful and accurate when understanding how to fully, fully master those courses.

I have been recently seeing the new beta courses that are coming up on Khan Academy for the children and students like us who want to learn. I am glad that Khan Academy is adding new courses on top of the other previous courses. Since my past 4 years of learning at Khan Academy, I have done all of those wonderful courses that the Khan Academy has provided for me and the world. The beta versions had led me to learn the concept better and had built my understanding of the course on top of the older, similar courses. I can take those studies and ideas and can apply them in my everyday life. I will agree that Khan Academy is the only place where you can learn and understand the school concepts or other education-related concepts much better. I bet these courses will make every student, every child, every adult, every wealthy person, and every human being on this planet will learn better here at Khan Academy. They are going to be very successful in life while learning these beta and older versions of these concepts. They willfully master and understand these courses. I hopefully think they will apply these concepts in the real-world sometimes in the future. Thank you so much Khan Academy for everything you have given us. You have given everyone on this planet a chance to succeed in the world. You have given us hope and life in education. And I wish you keep up this great work. I filled out the Feedback form (although I only mentioned the iPad app, not the Android app, in it), but I'll repeat it here and perhaps will also use Report a Problem concerning this. In all five of the new in-progress beta science courses, in the iPad and Android app versions, the practice  exercises appear before the articles and videos in the playlists. You really need to move the practice exercises to appear after any articles and videos that contribute knowledge needed to do these practice exercises.

This issue does not occur in the web version because the practice exercises are in a separate column from the articles and videos.

The issue also does not occur even in the iPad and Android apps for Unit 5, which is called Kinetics, of the AP/College Chemistry beta. The practice exercises appear after the relevant videos and articles.

Thank you for the comment - and good eye! We did change the order within each lesson in our beta courses. We made this change because we'd like to encourage you and other learners to attempt the exercise first, find out what you already know, and then use the videos and articles as needed. But of course, it's your choice - the videos and articles will be there for whenever you'd like to review them.

Please include the following units that will be taught in my High School Biology class.

Biology Topics

- Introduction to Biology and Biochemistry

- Macromolecules

- Cell Structure and Function

- Cell Division and Reproduction (Mitosis and Meiosis)

- DNA, RNA, and Protein Synthesis

Khan Academy contains all of those courses if you would like to find those courses you can go to the topic where it says "Science" then it gives you a High school biology beta - Physics Libary. Khan Academy teaches almost every form of science that exists in our current time based upon these courses.

On Khan, there are two High School Biology links. One says High School Biology and the other says High School Biology Beta. What is the difference?

The High School Biology course has more topics, but it is older. The High School Biology beta is in-progress - the material is new and supports NGSS. We'll be adding more to the High School Biology beta later this year, covering many of the topics you asked about! In the meantime, 👑💎 Professor Sykes 💎👑 is correct: you can visit our Biology library to find all things biology.

Krish Patel At the moment, we're not planning to create a combined Physics Science course. Instead, you can find topics from physical science in both our Physics and Chemistry courses.

I was wondering if you and the khan academy team could add percentage to the high school chemistry beta because every time I have to click to find out if I finished it or not and its driving me crazy!

I gained a lot of mastery points in the old High-school physics curriculum, and that is now gone. The video's I watched are still listed as being watched, but the quizzes and unit tests are all set to zero. I can't even access the old curriculum anymore. Please fix this issue.

Can you give an update for completion of the high school chemistry beta course? I really want my son to be able to take it this school year.

Is there any plan for the completion of the high school chemistry course this fall? Is there still a way to access the older high school chemistry course in the mean time?

The new high school physics curriculum starts with Newton's 2nd law. This is the wrong place to start and is VERY confusing for students. It should start with explaining distance, velocity and acceleration. The way it was laid out before was much cleaner.
