Students Having Trouble Using "Connect with Google" Login Option

Dear Colleagues,

My student is having this same problem. She is on a chromebook, inside the school building and we are fully integrated with Google Classroom. Students in our building can also use the Clever Portal.

This student is logged into a chromebook using her Chrome credentials and school-generated GMail account based on her school ID and our district's management of Google for Education.

When trying to go to Khan Academy she is told that she has a password that she needs to type in - so she can't go on Khan Academy at all. She clicks on "Continue with Google" and then is told that Khan Academy recognizes her and knows that she has a password that she must type in if she wants to access Khan Academy. Of course she has never had a password for Khan Academy except through Google. When she clicks on the "Reset Password" absolutely nothing happens. So Khan Academy is completely unavailable to her.

I am having a problem with 2 students not being able to login in using "Continue with Google" it recognizes their email but not their password. It want let me reset password.

Hi Kristy,

If they're using the "Continue with Google" sign-in option, then they need to login using their Google login credentials (email and password). This password may be different than the password associated with their Khan Academy account.

Please note that you are only able to reset their Khan Academy password through our site. If they're having trouble logging in with their Google account, they need to reset their Google password instead.

If that doesn't work, please submit a support ticket and we can help you regain access to their accounts.
