Pinning Tips & Thanks
Whenever someone releases a program, they almost always leave a Tips & Thanks on it with a link to their subscription page. Some more advanced users may leave Tips & Thanks for API. Some organizations may leave Tips & Thanks for more information. I’m sure you get the idea ; )
The problem with this is that they want their Tips & Thanks to be at the top of the program. After all, they do deserve it, right? They usually ask users to vote it up but that seems to be confused with vote soliciting. So I though, why not another way?
Imagine if the creator of a program could also add in a Tips & Thanks or small series of Tips & Thanks and then pin them to the top of the forum under their program. It would solve a lot of issues if used correctly.
There are some possible problems but I think we can overcome them. The biggest one I see is people abusing that feature to leave tons of pinned Tips & Thanks. This could be solved by only allowing one.
If any of you have any other ideas about issues that may arise, please let me know. I think this could be a really good addition to the computer programming platform.
