Turning off assignment reminders (not a teacher)

Hi Abigail,

It sounds like when your account was created, whoever made it accidentally made it as a teacher's account. This is an easy thing to fix, and here's how to do that: 

First, right-click on this link and select "Open page in new tab" so you can still read these instructions. Here's the link: https://www.khanacademy.org/settings/account

Then, scroll down the page to where it says "Roles". There, you should see 2 boxes checked, the Learners box, and the Teachers box. Uncheck the Teacher role.

Right under that, there's a little box that says "Homepage". This might already say Learner, but if it doesn't, then go ahead and select the Learner box. 

Here's what your page should now look like:

Also, make sure to click the "Save changes" button!

And you should now have your settings normal, so that pop-up will not be appearing anymore.
