Often, I hear people question the nature of math. Depending on your environment, you may hear people condemning mathematics or praising it, or a mix of both. I think the question still exists and would be very helpful to address (especially considering the massive community that uses Khan Academy).
I would love to see a section about the value of math and why we should learn it. Often times I hear people dissing certain skills or throwing shade on the subject and questioning the need of it in our lives (which is incredibly great, make no mistake). Though some of us may be able to answer this for ourselves, it may be a challenge to eloquently provide the same response to someone else. This is why I would love a section that explains the purpose, need, function, etc. of math in human life. I think it would help students to also be able to understand how math (different levels and concepts) are applied to real-world situations (from basic elementary word problems to calculus). My own former middle school math teacher inquired about how I used math during a Summer internship with a software development company.
I hope this is considered and promoted, because I think the question is still very valid, and even though may seem obvious, is very important to discuss.
