My daughter wanted to learn about Astronomy this year as her science course. I came across your Cosmology and Astronomy course. I am not finding any assignments besides watching the videos. Are there any course materials such as worksheets or quizzes for this course?
If there is I am not finding them. Please help me locate them or where can I find a quiz or worksheet to accompany this course.
It looks like there aren’t any of these, at least not yet. Some of the other science courses here did not have practice exercises, unit quizzes, and unit tests last year but have them now. So perhaps Cosmology and Astronomy will have them one day, too. Yes, I realize that your need is now, but Khan Academy seems to grow at a slow pace.
I agree; thank you for posting. From my experience, very few people study / are aware of important Astronomy and Cosmology concepts. It doesn't seem to be very popular, but it most certainly should be as some state standards have been changing to include more of such content.
As some have said already, there aren't any practices on Khan Academy yet for this course, but the videos are quite insightful, and I myself have had a blast (supernova pun) learning from Sal's videos. His extra thought, multiple angles of analysis, and explanations have sparked a passion for me. I am now done with the videos and await more content, of which I am trying to advocate for.
You can find some great videos on certain concepts on youtube, as I have done for my personal study. I would suggest first outlining a course structure and identify what you/your daughter would like to cover. I would suggest starting from the birth of the universe and the previous theories of the universe.
