When I add up the correct questions that I get on a Khan practice LSAT exam it gives me a raw score that would give a much higher score than the score given by Khan. Ex. I get 91 out of 101 questions, which would give me a score of 174. However, Khan says that I scored a 170.
Does this happen to anyone else? Why does Khan do this? Is it a mistake?

We are doing a sweep in our community forum archive and I thought it would be worthwhile to answer this thread as others might have the same doubts.
Every practice test is unique, so a raw score on one practice test doesn’t necessarily translate to the same overall score across other practice tests. Instead, to calculate your final score on one of our LSAT practice tests, you must use the conversion chart that belongs to the test you’re grading.
To find these scoring sheets, please follow these instructions:
Check the article "List of LSAT Practice Tests available on Khan Academy."
Locate the LSAT practice test you’ve completed at Khan Academy and the LSAT it is based on. For example, Practice test #1 is based on LSAT PrepTest 66.
Look for that test’s scoring sheet online (e.g., "LSAT PrepTest 66 scoring sheet").

The LSAT score reflects the percentile of all test takers over which you scored higher. It's different for every test. Every test will have its own conversion scale. A harder test will generally allow for more questions to be missed than an easier test for the same score because more test takers will get more answers wrong on harder tests.
This is happening to me as well. I should be around a 171 with 87 correct on my last one and it gave me a 166. I understand that each test is scaled, but normally the difference is only one or maybe two points, not 5. The test I took prior to this one I had 86 right and it gave me a 168 vs the typical 170. So my raw number improved yet the score dropped by two.
If the test is scaled that we're getting such easier tests, I'm wondering about the overall utility of the tutoring. I want to take standard or harder tests, not easier ones.
