IOS app version 8.3.0 - trigger of selection when handwriting on draft mode

Since the last upgrade, writing using my Apple pencil is almost impossible. When attempt to handwrite calculations , the app misses 50% of my pencil’s strokes, resulting in illegible scrawls. Also, it now also responds to my hand as I write, resulting in marks from my hand moving across the screen as I write. I am running the iOS 18.4 public beta. 

I’m getting the same thing. I was using the scratch pad for all of my algebra work and now it’s unusable

Our engineering team has become aware of some issues affecting the newest version of the Khan Academy iOS app-- including some related to the performance of the ScratchPad and the support of the Apple Pencil. Rest assured that we're working hard to fix all these problems affecting your learning experience. We are a small team here at Khan Academy, so I do not have a firm timeline yet for when it will be resolved.

For now, they have all the information needed to investigate further.
