Content update: New content in High School Chemistry!
The Khan Academy science team is excited to announce the release of new content in our high school chemistry course, just in time for the 2024-25 school year!
Since we released our new high school chemistry course in January, the science team has been hard at work expanding the breadth and depth of our content. We've added over 40 new videos, articles, and exercises that cover topics such as the quantum mechanical model, nomenclature, molecular geometry, stoichiometry, gas laws, and more!
All of these new additions meant we needed to do some restructuring! We’ve split our original Unit 1 into two distinct units, now titled "Atoms, Isotopes, and Ions" and "Atomic Models and Periodicity." This change will help streamline your learning experience, making it easier to grasp these foundational concepts before moving on to more advanced topics.
If you’ve already started the course, you might notice a shift in your Mastery scores. Don’t worry—this is simply due to the addition of new exercises (1,300 additional Mastery points)! Any progress you made previously in the course will still be saved.
We’re excited to see how these enhancements support your learning journey. Dive into the updated course and continue your exploration of the world of chemistry!
Thanks!
