College Algebra problem (and probably other math courses)
Hello!
My name is Samuel, and I have used Khan Academy over the past few months for math and computer science. Overall, I love this website/application. I use it every day. It has greatly improved my math skills in a short period. I do have a feedback/concern with them, though. I have mild dyscalculia, and I find it very difficult to do fractions and complex math processes mentally. In some of the practices and tests, the questions will include very complicated fractions, and the processes involving them were not explained at all. For example, in the completing the square practice after the "worked example: completing the square (leading coefficient not = 1), the video example is a LOT easier than the practices. I understand the concept very well, but then I cannot get past the practice because the questions are very difficult if you struggle with fractions. If the examples that Sal did on the video were as complicated as the practice, and he explained the process of completing the square with a leading coefficient not = 1 with fractions and improper fractions included in his examples, it would help a lot. The explanations given when you get a wrong answer in practice are not detailed enough to help. Maybe I am alone in this problem, but it is a bit frustrating. This has happened to some degree in multiple sections of College Algebra and Pre-Calculus, but this is the most tricky example I've seen yet. I appreciate all of the work you do, though. This is an incredible platform for independent learners.
