Adding Tools to the Scratchpad in Tests and Quizzes

During the practices in geometry, I often find myself using the grid in the scratchpad to arrive at the answer; I think a ruler tool would be most helpful in this. I think scratchpad tools would be very useful for a variety of tasks including geometry, what tools do you suggest?
