to multiply fractions you can multiply the 2 numerators and the 2 denominators. So for (1/2) * (2/3) you would multiple 1*2 and 2*3 and get 2/6 hope this helps 

Or put in an abstract way if you have a/b * c/d that is ac/cd 

Also, when multiplying fractions, you multiply like this...

4         5             20

      x             = 

5         8              40

Multiply it like you would do the same in multiplication...

When multiplying fractions, it makes the product to be lesser now!
