Update: Content navigation updates

Hi everyone,

I'm Daniel from the learner team, and I’m excited to share with you some changes we’ve made to Khan Academy this week to make it easier to navigate. This update includes:

Numbered unit links within the course page

• These new numbers on the course page will now reflect the existing numbering on the content page, making it easier for learners to communicate with others and understand where they are - for example, “I’m working on Unit 3 Lesson 2 of Algebra 1 this week!”
  
  

Lesson links go directly to content page lessons

• Before, both unit and lesson links would go to the unit page. We felt as though this extra layer often made it slower to find what you’re looking for or want to work on next. To help out those that want to quickly jump back into the content page, we updated lesson links on the course page to navigate directly to the start of the selected lesson, and kept unit links as the primary way of navigating to the unit page for those that prefer it!
  
  

Direct links from content page back to course page

• When we released the new unified content pages a few months ago, we didn’t include an easy-to-find link back to the course page for those that use it, so we’ve added a link to the course page next to the existing unit page link at the top left hand side. We also brought the lesson number down from the top line to the lesson title for further clarity.
  
  We also included some new tooltips to expand unit and course titles by simply hovering over the link!
