Why can I not use the Geometry (all content) as a course?
Why is "Geometry (all content)" not available as a course to assign to students?
Why is "Geometry (all content)" not available as a course to assign to students?
Try selecting these two courses:
The Geometry (all content) section is made up of things from a wide variety of grades. If you're doing high school geometry, then select that course. If you're doing a grade, then select that one.
You can submit a support ticket if you think that this is a very important issue.
I think they should remove the all content things (Algebruh, geometry and arithmetic)
It's nonsense imo
Its very useful because you can find everything about a subject in one place.
Hi Dayna,
The Geometry (All content) course is not shown in the list of courses because we want to encourage teachers and students to use the "High School Geometry" course instead. This course is much better curated and is aligned to the U.S. Common Core standards.
We use the "All Content" courses as a sort of catch-all for each subject area, so these courses have very similar content to the main versions but with some additional content that doesn't fit as well into the curriculum flow. These courses can also sometimes contain old versions of content that has been kept so existing teacher assignments are not impacted, but that has been replaced in the main version of the course.
That being said, you can still assign content from the "All Content" courses by navigating directly into the course and clicking on the content you want to assign. You can then use the assignment toolbar at the top of the page to assign the content to your class. You can find more information about creating assignments here.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
